Product Description

Solidbody offset electric guitar with alder body, 2 single coil pickups, 22 fret neck vintage style Yamaha Roller Trem Bridge Blue Sparkle Finish.

The Yamaha SGV Samurai Guitars - essentially re-issues of the Original Japanese Surf Guitars from the 1960's - the SG models... the SG2, 5 7 and 12's.

They made several different models of the SGV's but only the SGV300 and SGV800 were intended for export, the rest were only for the domestic (Japan) market... even though these were made in Taiwan.

Featuring the Futuristic / Space Aged offset body style designed by Yamaha and that Blue Sparkle Finish!!
The SGV800's were available in this Blue Sparkle, Red Sparkle and Pearl Snow White.
but... over the years other (probably one off/custom shop) finishes have been seen such as a Black Sparkle SGV800.

These are the ultimate Japanese Surf Guitars. A real exploration of the classic offset Fender Jaguars/Jazzmasters.
As odd as they are, they're quite comfortable to play and they sound great... not just for the surf!

These SGV800's were made from 200-2004.
The serial numbe on this model makes it an early one, being produced (assembled) Jan 12, 2000.

This wonderful exotic surf monster features...
