Foot controlled analog bass synth produced from 1981 to 1983 featuring a 18 key foot controller with seperate analog synth module that mounts via a mic stand, comes with 2 Taurus II Synth modules, carrying bag, for one, 2 power adapters, in very good condition.
Time to get your prog on! Time to start that RUSH or Genesis tribute act! Time to go MOOG for some phat analog bass synth tones.
The Taurus II moved the built in synth engine to a remote module unit, attached to the foot controller via a straight mic stand - the same from a round base microphone stand.
This unit does not come with the stand.
The analog synth module features basic Monophonic analog synthesis offering basic sawtooth and square waveforms
For the II, they also changed the Synth engine to an exact copy of the MOOG Rogue Synth and, towards the end of the run, added MIDI functionality.
The earlier of the two modules here, does not feature MIDI and is a little bit more play worn with some wear along the wooden edges of the unit.
This "Earlier" version is a little dirty with controls probably benefit from a cleaning.
The "Newer" MIDI version is cleaner both in sound and looks.
And the sound, is everything you would hope for - big analog "phatness" of the MOOG world.
The "Newer" MIDI version also included a leather carrying bag.
There are two small 5 pin cables included but they are short - not long enough to use with the mic stand attachment - probably about 2ft long.
The Foot pedals on the II version feature 18 "keys" (vs 13 on the I version) and are generally in Very Good condition. All keys trigger the sounds properly.
The foot controller features some average play wear.
There are 2 power supplies included, one is in better condition than the other - but you're probably only going to use one at a time (!)
Overall, this Consignment item(s) is in Very Good Condition and something we don't see come through the store often.
