Product Description

6 nylon string guitar, all solid wood, handcrafted by one of the masters in Japan.

Masaki Sakurai, nephew and protoge of the Japanese lutheir master Marasu Kohno.

"The Sakurai guitar bracing, based on the Khono bracing, incorporates vibration theory, the result of scientific research with the Shibaura Institute of Technology, and offers a greater and more balanced sound volume throughout the soundboard."

Masaki studied under his uncle Marasu, and the first Sakurai guitars have labels that state that they were built under the supervision of M.Kohno
This is was built by by Sakurai in the Kohno workshop.

"Similar to the situation in Madrid, where many craftsman can trace their origins to the Ramirez workshops, in Tokyo, many of the best independent guitar makers to emerge in the 70' were former Kohno employees."

Masaki Sakurai showed the world that the "Apple didn't fall far from the family tree" and emerged as a top lutheir, and still is!

This is a beautiful guitar. Expressive tone, just a joy to play - especially for those experienced in such a manner of playing.

This No. 10 model, built in 1976, features a cedar top, rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard and that Kohno bracing.
A passive pickup has been added.

This Used guitar is in Very Good++ condition, with some play wear but any wear is cosmetic - as seen in the pictures - and comes with Hard Shell Case.
