Vintage Marshall amplifiers are something that we don't see come through the shop too often and it's always exciting when we do.
This... is no exception!
The Legendary Model 1959, JMP 100 Watt Super Lead.
2 Channels, Normal and Bright, hi and low inputs for both - your classic 4 input Mashall.
This is a wonderful example of a Classic Super Lead, in fantastic/excellent condition.
The best thing about this 1973 Tone Monster, is the fact that it has recently been serviced/overhauled by one of the best, most thorough Amp Tech's in Toronto.
Included are all of the service notes and measurements taken by the tech, and a list of the NOS tubes that are currently in the amplifier.
To quote a cliche... It "purrs like a kitten", and is top notch working condition!
Original (and better replaced) blue erie caps have been replaced as has "mid" pot - both original items are included.
Pictures included of the old blue erie caps, the replacements and the overall chasis.
But how is it?
It's Smurftastic! It's a glorious sounding head. It's at the full Marshall best when cranked but it sounds great at lower volumes and with pedals, as pedal platform - if wanted/needed.
This is a wonderful example of a Vintage Marshall Super Lead Head and with the service that's been done, it's almost like you're getting a new 1973 Super Lead.
It's loaded and ready to Rock!!
These are glorious amplifiers. Nothing sounds, or rattles the walls, like a 100 watt Super Lead.
