This was the first signature amp designed with Markbass and Randy Jackson, and is a wonderful "Vintage Modern" designed amplifier.
Everyone loves the big all tube classic bass amps that weigh a ton and aren't the most reliable. This puppy gets you the Tone and Volume of those classic Tube amplifiers without the wieght and more reliable.
500 watts with a weight of approx 13 pounds (!)
Featuring an all tube preamp section and a tube driven compressor.
Active/Passive input, simple but effective 3 band EQ section and the Markbass VLE Section.
VLE is Markbass "Vintage Loudspeaker Emulator" which is featured on some of their other amplifiers but this one is Tube driven - it's the knob marked as "Colour" that pulls back the high frequencies.
The Analog Solid State Power section emulates the warmth of a Tube power section but without the weight (or high cost of a re-tube).
Also features XLR D.I. out with ground lift and 2 SpeakOn outs.
Randy Jackson, btw, is more than just the 'dawg' character/judge from American Idol.
He was a judge for a reason - from countless years as a session musician and producer and sharp dresser. Oh yeah, he was in Journey in the mid 80's too (!)
This Used amplifier is in excellent condition - almost new condition!
