Product Description

6 String electric solid body guitar with set neck and 2 humbucking pickups.

The big question is... are you the Hunter or the Hunted (or possible Haunted)
The bigger question is... who is "Hunter Guitars" and where did they come from??

Well, we've got the answer... the real answer.

Hunter is a bit of a mystery to most people, and when we say most people that's not a lot of people as they did not make a lot of different models/guitars in general.
and, if you google Hunter Guitars not much, if anything comes up.
But, they're from these parts (Southern Ontario, actually right here in Oakville).

Many years ago, let's say 20, although it's probably more, 2 brothers decided start a guitar importing company called Watson. Watson guitars were designed in Canada and made in Korea, at one of the factories that made Epiphone (among others).
They made the standard Les Paul copies, super strats and some cool double cutaway Hamer style models. Andy Larocque (from King Diamond) had a Watson signature model and they were working on a signature Strat for Kim Mitchell. Watson was also one of the first Brian May "Pirate" guitars built when Burns started doing the Korean Burns Brian May model. But we digress...

One day, one of the brothers (they're last name was not Watson, btw) decided to search out the best factory in Korea for a "limited" run of "higher end" electric guitars.
Thus, "Hunter" guitars were born.
Safe to say that perhaps 25 or 30 Hunter guitars were made and then both Hunter and Watson went bye bye.

The most notable, or rather, the one you might find if you Google "Hunter Guitars" is the "Michael Bruce" S.G. Based off Michael's (Alice Cooper Band) original modified SG.
This was, apparently, done with Michael Bruce's blessing. Again, only a few were made.

So that's Hunter and this is a Hunter Guitar for sale, for you!
I have played both the Hunter and the Watson guitars and the Hunter was/is a step up from the Watson guitars. It feels and plays like a well made Korean guitar, and that's a good thing.

We can't remember exactly what this model was called, but a 3 pickup version was the "FX3", so we're going with the FX2 Limited Edition.
This is number "18" of the Hunter legacy.

Thick, substantial double cutaway mahogany body with a set mahogany neck.
A realy nice deep blue, almost purple(ish) finish - well done - with a lightly figured bookmatched maple top and natural maple binding.
A unique feature on a guitar like this is the Maple Finger Board, with black diamond inlays.
Tune-o-matic bridge and stop tail piece.
2 Humbucking pickups and master Volume and Tone controls - along with a 3 way toggle switch. Controls are somewhat recessed in the body - a nice touch.
Overall it does have a bit of PRS vibe to the guitar, but not a direct copy.

Yes, you probably have never heard of this guitar but let's not get hung up on names/brands. It's a very good/unique electric guitar. Very well made in one of the top factories in Korea.

This Used guitar is in excellent condition with some light play wear. Most notable would be some wear along the edge of the maple fingerboard.
