USED Gibson 2006 Les Paul Supreme Root Beer w/OHSC - CONSIGNMENT
6 String Electric guitar featuring a Chambered mahogany body with dual arched a Flamed Maple top and Back, Mahogany neck with ebony fret board, gold hardware, Root Beer finish in Excellent condition with Original Hard Shell Case.
These Supremes sit somewhere between the core model Les Paul and the Custom Shop line, designed as resonant Les Paul with a thicker body size and some Bling.
The body, being a fully chambered mahogany core, features a “Dual Arched”, carved top and back with AAAA Flamed Maple. As mentioned, the body is thicker than a traditional Les Paul, at approximately 2.3”. There’s not back plate to access the electronics - instead there’s a larger jack plate that, when removed, gives you access to the electronics inside the hollowed out body.
The neck is a rounded, 50’s style Mahogany construction with a bound Ebony fret board with Split Block Inlays and gold tinted frets. The headstock features multi binding with the Pearloid Supreme Banner, brass truss rod cover and Gold Grover Keystone Tuners.
Pickups are Gibsons 490R and 498T humbuckers with gold covers, matching the gold hardware on the rest of the guitar.
This Consignment guitar is in Excellent condition with little play wear - it’s 20 years old this year (!!) There's some slight wear on the gold pickup covers, mostly on the edge of the bridge pickup. The AAAA Flamed top looks fantastic finished in Root Beer, while some consider some of the other finishes (like Cherry Sunburst) to be a little too Lavish in the bling side of things. This is a Classy looking guitar!
