Product Description

Vintage Fender 40 Watt all tube head with vintage 2x12 speaker cabinet from Fender in Very Good Condition.

Everyone talks about Ed Van Halen and his famed plexi 100 Marshall head... and rightly so BUT an amp he used, quite a bit, in the club days was a Bandmaster Head.
He was always too loud, hence him trying to use a Variac to "starve" the power tubes and get that tone and a, slightly, lower volume.
Another work around the volume was using a lower wattage amp - the 40 Watt Bandmaster... albeit a Blonde Bandmaster (different circuit than a '66)
He's always been partial to Fender amps, and funny that EVH ended up under Fender.
Anyway... we digress.

The Bandmaster is kind of like a Bassman with a little less headroom and tighter bass response/not as much bass.
Solid state rectifier helps with the tighter bass sound.
Loud, will start to break up around 4 or 5 but then can become a LOUD 40 watt amplifier.
We say 40 watts, but people will often modify them with Bassman Transformer to get more clean headroom.

2 Channels, Normal and Vibrato with 2 inputs for each and a bright switch for each channel. Trem and Reverb for the "Vibrato" channel.

The Cabinet is actually an earlier, circa 1963, Fender Blonde 2x12 cabinet featuring original Jensen Brown Label Fender 12" Speakers.
The Cabinet has been painted black at some point, so most of the "wearing" you see is the black paint flaking off the blonde tolex.
Painted these, and other likewise, cabinets wasn't too unusual as we've seen it with Fenders and Fawn Marshalls before.

This Consignment item is in Very Good condition - with the wear you can see in the photos.
The head has been recently serviced and sounds great!
Cabinet is in great structural condition - no cracks in the wood/cabinet/baffle board.
You can see the Blonde tolex wrapped around the baffle board.
You can see black paint "over brush" on the inside of the cabinet too.

Because of the size/weight of this item, you will have to contact us to see if we can ship this item to your location - otherwise it's store pickup only.
