Overdrive pedal in a small compact enclosure with controls for Volume, Tone, Overdrive and tone bypass.
The infamous and often overlooked/forgotten EHX Hot Tubes Pedal.
Born in the 70's, as one of those big box pedals, they were a great, warm overdrive, that was very responsive to your playing/dynamic/touch.
They were big, originals had a hardwired power cord and NO, they did not contain any tubes. They were Soild State.
How about the sound? Well... do you like the 70's Journey guitar sound of Neal Schon?
He used one as his main overdrive pedal (along with the preamp of his Echoplex) and he mad his Peavey Mace Amplifiers scream with desire!!
Ok, some say he gutted the Mace and put a Marshall in it, but he also switched to Marshalls towards the end of the 70's and didn't re-box them. Pretty sure his Mace amps were infact Mace amplifiers. Big, loud and clean (and tube).
Either way, the Hot Tubes sound great.
EHX did re-issue (sort of) in the late 1990's the Hot Tubes, but these pedals actually had 2 12AX7 tubes in them and were different.
This Nano is closer to the original design from the 70's, but without the large enclosure.
Featuring same controls as the original - Volume, Drive, Tone and a Switch to bypass the Tone.
This used pedal is in excellent condition - original rubber feet are missing from the back of the pedal.
Can be powered by 9 volt battery or optional power supply (not included)
