Compact digital delay pedal for guitar inspired by Binson Echo Drum Style Delay with controls for Swell, Tone, Delay Time, Mix with Mode switch in Excellent condition.
New Life has been givin to Dr. Bin's finest delay invention!
The original Binson Echorec was a "drum delay" system. Like most of those older delay pedals, they featured circuitry that effected the guitars tone (in a good musical way) even when you weren't using the delay - much like the Echoplex and Space Echos.
The "Mode" gives you access to all 12 combinations of the 4 delay heads (digital delay heads)
and the Delay Time control allows you to fine tune your delay time.
The Original Binson unit was quite a marvel of technology - allowing you to have these wonderful lush delays without the "hassle" of Tape - tape degrading, wow and flutter, replacing tape/tapes breaking. Although, now everyone wants to have the added Wow and Flutter/old tape sounds in their new digital version of the old Tape Delays.
Inside, there's a global trim pot to asjust the overall gain of the preamp circuit, a trails mode and a modulation trim pot.
And, the original gave you up to 400ms of delay time, this puppy gives you 40ms-1000ms of delay time!
The Binson was made popular by Pink Floyd/David Gilmour, especially the "Live at Pompeii" film - Hence the graphics on the pedal.
But there were plenty of other pyschedelic groups throughout the 60's/70's freaking people out with the Binson Echorec Drum Delay.
This Used pedal is in excellent condition. Can be powered by 9-18v power supply (not included)
