Vintage Tube Design with Modern versatilty... this is one Great Microphone!

When these were available new, they were billed as a more affordable tube condenser microphone. That's a relative term, as there are plenty of decent microphones well under $1000 but it this class, it's a clear winner.

The most respected characteristics of this microphone is that it's a "Tube Mic", and you can hear that but it doesn't scream "I'm a Tube Mic, listen to my tube!!"
In other wods, you don't get too much tube saturation/colouring of your sound... it's a flattering sound not an obnoxious one. 
And they weren't trying to emulate a certain vintage tube mic, it has it's own thing going on... rich, warm low/low mids, and smooth highs.
They didn't use the "tube" aspect to create an artificial warmth.

Very well made, like all AT microphones - if you take care of it, this mic will work for you for a looong time.

This AT4060 is in excellent condition and comes with all original packaging including the box, tube power supply, cable and shock mount.
This mic has probably been used only a handful of times... think of it as an
"NOS Demo" - it was used as a sample for an Audio Technica Rep, to bring around to different stores to check out.
There is a bit of cosmetic wear, but overall it's very clean and has very little hours of use on it.

It's a great microphone for the money, especially considering the overall condition.
