Classic solidbody electric guitar with decorative metal plate front originally designed by Tony Zemaitis.
Lithuanian / British luthier Tony Zemaitis turned heads with his engraved metal plate topped electric guitars, first designed in the late 60's
Danny O'Brien was responsible for engraving the metal fronts.
These quickly took off - and they weren't just decorative, they were very well constructed, played great and sounded fantastic!
(Tony was actually best known for building acoustic instruments before he started these designs.)
Some of the most popular players in the day were George Harrison, Ron Wood and James Honeyman Scott - the last two had Pearl top guitars made too.
Tony died in 2002 but the legend lives on.
Noting that the original guitars became collectable and the prices went up, Zemaitis were licensed to be made in Japan and now Korea.
We think this is the first Zemaitis we've had in the store, and it's a real winner!!
This C24MF-NT is in excellent / like new condition and comes with original gigbag.
Mahogany neck and body, set neck construction, with the glorious engraved metal front.
Classic Zemaitis 24 fret neck.
