USED Ovation UK II w/OHSC - CONSIGNMENT

A unique rarely seen and innovative Vintage Electric Guitar from Ovation!

Ovation UK II circa 1979.

The original owners manual said...

"We introduce the UK II to you with Pride and Anticipation"

They first mentioned the re-designed Alnico Humbucking Pickups - designed and wound by Ovation - providing classic humbucker sound with 20db less noise, a bar magnet to provide better string pickup when bending notes and a new winding process to achieve maximum winds for output and less noise.

Each pickup also features a SPS - Series / Parallel switch - attached to the pickup ring itself for easy/fast tonal switching.

Also featured is a set of  Mono/Stereo output jacks. Mono is a regular guitar, stereo splits the bridge pickup to one sound source and the neck pickup to another.

Perhaps the most innovative design is the construction of the body.
The body is molded from Urelite - high density urethane - and molded over an aluminum frame which acts like a substructure joining bridge and neck together and also provides as an excellent sheilding cavity for the pickups.

24 3/4" scale length, Mahogany neck with an ebony fret board, 24 frets and even with a light weight body, the whole guitar is very balanced.

This Consignment UK II is in Excellent condition and comes with original case.
There are a few small cosmetic dings here and there - see pictures - that have been touched up with matching black finish.

Overall a very cool guitar, made in USA!
