The Martin D18V was part of the Vintage Series and a highly sought after guitar.
The Vintage series has been replaced by the Authentic Series line.
This is the Classic Martin - featuring Sitka Spruce Top, solid mahogany back and sides and constructed very similar to earlier Pre-War Martin guitars.
The D-18 has always been a favorite of players far and wide. Loud, clear balanced tone with top and forward shifted scalloped bracing.
The neck contour features a glorious Vintage 'V' to it - extremely comfortable to play. And this plays like a dream and sounds even better!!
The fingerboard and bridge are Ebony, while the headplate is Indian Rosewood. The bridge is a vintage design, with a cut-through long saddle slot. The open gear, Martin-branded open gear ‘butterbean button’ tuners, of the Grover Sta-Tite or Waverly design, are built by Gotoh.
Overall this used Martin is in Excellent condition with a few minor wear marks, most notably a small wear through lacquer on the back of the body - as seen in the picture. It's not a crack structural, it's cosmetic.
There is some slight pitting type wear on the headstock at the Martin Logo - as seen in the last picture of the headstock.
There is also some very faint small marks on the back of the neck - noticed by look and not by feel.
Comes with original hard shell case.
