6 String Acoustic Guitar with Solid Spruce Top, Rosewood Back and sides, Mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard and OHSC.
There are 2 models that American Made Guild Acoustic Guitars just slay...
The Guild 12 String Jumbo and the D-55 Dreadnought.
From the AAA Solid Spruce Top to the Indian Rosewood Back and Sides, the D-55 Sounds as good as it looks!! Perhaps, better!
Guild have been making fantastic Dreadnought acoustics since the early 1960's and while they have been overshadowed, somewhat, by Martin and Gibson, they have enjoyed a huge following and praise from players around the world.
Especially noted for their extremely balanced tones.
"The little details, such as the scalloped red spruce bracing and mother-of-pearl and abalone block position fret inlays add the kind of finishing touches that make the D-55 stand out as the work of art that it is. And its pure nitrocellulose lacquer finish is guaranteed to age gloriously with your D-55, maturing into continuously richer tonal qualities throughout the years."
This gem of a guitar features that beautiful Solid Spruce Top with the Solid Indian Rosewood, bookmatched, Back and Sides, and an Ebony fret board with a 12" radius.
This is a "Fender" Era Guild, built in the USA (New Hartford, CT Factory)
Note...
This Used guitar is in Excellent/Very Good + condition with a few cosmetic conditions...
There's some light wear along the top of the headstock - seen in picture.
The previous owner had a Fishman Matrix pickup installed.
There's a small lacquer crack, on the top, near the rear strap button - as seen in the picture. Just cosmetic, NOT an actual crack in the wood.
There's some lacquer cracking on the headstock near 2 of the 6 tuning pegs.
Someone, at some point, has installed a 2nd strap button, above the output jack from the mentioned pickup.
Otherwise, there are a few small little wear marks - like some wearing in various parts of the body binding - but these are the notable cosmetic things.
Comes with Original Hard Shell Case.
This is a Beautiful instrument. There are a few cosmetic things, but they're not affecting the structure/sound quality/playability.
It sounds wonderful and will only get better over time.
