One of the earlier Fender "U.S Vintage Re-issue Stratocasters" - from 1988!
We called it the AVRI - American Vintage Re-Issue but back then it was officially the "U.S. Vintage Re-Issue"
And, it's in Fiesta Red!! Original Urethane under coat with a Nitro top Coat.
The '57 Vintage Re-issue is a fantastic representation of a '57 era Stratocaster.
Made in the FMIC era of Fender...
Fender, while still owned by CBS, started "U.S. Vintage Re-issue" models in 1982.
When FMIC bought Fender, they re-started the U.S. Vintage Series in late 1985.
Made in the, then brand new, Corona Factory.
1988 is 36 years ago (at the time of this description) so Technically this is a Vintage, U.S. Vintage Re-Issue!
Featuring a Maple fretted neck, vintage 7.25" radius, 21 Vintage style frets.
Alder body with a gorgeous Fiesta Red Lacquer Finish, 3 single coil (stock) pickups, single ply white pickguard and Fender Vintage Style Tremolo Bridge.
These re-sissues had a Slim taper "C" neck profile.
This Consignment guitar is in Very Good++ almost excellent, condition and comes with the Original Hard Shell Case.
There are a few small dings here and there - the photos give you a very good view of the condition of the finish.
Included with the case is the trem arm and original "Instruction" booklet.
When new, these had a 3 way blade switch and came with a 5 way kit, if you wanted to replace the switch.
This one currently has the 5 way switch installed.
