6 String Acoustic Guitar, made in Japan circa early 1970's featuring an 000 body style, spruce top, bolt on neck construction and aftermarket pickup in very Good Condition.
Early 1970's, circa '72 ish, Epiphone FT-130 "000" style of Acoustic guitar.
Made in japan, blue "Kalamazoo" label inside the body.
Laminate Spruce Top, Mahogany Back and sides. Mahogany neck with Rosewood fingerboard.
Neck is a Bolt on construction with adjustable truss rod.
Even though it's Laminate, this is a great sounding little acoustic guitar!!
This Used guitar is in Very Good Condition.
At some point, judging from the look of the strap button/jack, a passive pickup was installed.
It sounds quite good plugged in!
The original adjustable saddle has been replaced with a regular compensated acoustic saddle - some would say an upgrade for stability and overall sound.
It was probably done when the passive pickup/under sadlle element was installed.
There's quite a bit of lacquer checking on the spruce top. These are not cracks in the wood, it's checks in the laquer.
The lacquer is checking/rough along the edge of the fretboard and neck, on both sides, at the first fret. It's not moving or "de-laminating" but you can feel it.
There's also a lengthy lacquer crack/laminate crack along the bottom side, near end pin jack.
Again, being a laminate construction, it does not go through the wood.
This would be a fun acoustic to have strung up "Nashville" style for recording/fun/etc.
It's a very cool little Japanese Made acoustic that's approx 50 years old and still going strong!
It's a fun guitar to play, especially plugged in to an amp.
